DETROIT, Mich. — Early rumors regarding the impact of U.S. President George W. Bush’s visit to the Windsor area are proving to be untrue.

The Ontario Trucking Association says it initially received a notice from the Detroit Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association that the Ambassador Bridge would effectively close to commercial traffic from approximately 6:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during today’s First Visit.

However, the fleet group now reports talking to the Ambassador Bridge operator and learning operations will not be effected and everything is business as usual.
