CALGARY, Alta. — CSI Wireless has signed an agreement to supply Asset-Link 100 telematics hardware for Datacom’s MOBILUS stolen-vehicle recovery system.

CSI has already received initial orders for Asset-Link 100 units, which will be shipped in the first few months of 2003. Datacom predicts it will deploy several thousand units throughout 2003.

MOBILUS is a system designed to detect theft, recover stolen vehicles and provide telematics services via the phone or Internet in real-time throughout North America. Asset-Link 100, according to CSI, is a part of the company’s family of cost-effective fleet tracking, safety and security products.

It combines CSI’s GPS technologies with cellular control channel technologies for continental vehicle tracking.
