LAUREL, Md. — Engine maker Cummins is upgrading its Internet presence with the assistance of Digex, an Web-services provider.

The change sees Cummins migrating the Web sites of 30 Cummins operations and subsidiaries to new and improved sites over the next nine months.

“We chose Digex based on their experience, to ensure the quality of the Cummins brand name by providing a consistent platform for security, uptime, and performance for production Web applications,” said John Riester, a Cummins manager of Internet services.
