Mack says bring on EPA2010

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. — Mack Trucks’ plans to start production on its EPA2010-compliant trucks are continuing on schedule, according to the manufacturer. In recent weeks, employees at the Macungie Assembly Operations plant have built MACK Granite and MACK TerraPro models equipped with EPA2010 emissions reduction systems on the production line.  These trucks have the same components that will be installed on customer trucks later this year, Mack says.

“The fact that we are already building these trucks online clearly demonstrates that we are ready to start producing them for our customers,” said Jim Goodell, Macungie’s vice-president and general manager.

Mack will use selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust aftertreatment to meet the near-zero emissions standards of EPA2010.
