WINNIPEG, Man. — Reimer Express Lines and its U.S. partner, Roadway Express, have been certified for several border-crossing initiatives.

The fleets have been certified by the U.S. Customs and Canada Customs for participation in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and Partners in Protection (PIP) of the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program.

The certification will allow Reimer to take advantage of the FAST dedicated lane program allowing it to move shipments across the border more quickly and efficiently.

“We feel strongly that being certified as a safe and compliant carrier by both the Canadian and U.S. governments is our corporate obligation, the right thing to do for national security and the war against terrorism,” says Bob Carr, senior vice-president of corporate and international sales for Roadway Express.
