VANCOUVER, B.C. — Commercial truck traffic is down by about 30 per cent at the Pacific Highway Border Crossing, according to Canada Customs.

In all, traffic crossing the border into the Lower Mainland area of B.C. is down by about 50 per cent in recent weeks.

Customs remains at an increased state of security and they speculate that drivers concerned about being held up are avoiding the crossing altogether.
