Sarnia police recover stolen trailer, arrest two men after roundabout crash
A truck pulling a stolen trailer slammed through a Sarnia, Ont., roundabout on Sept. 24, damaging city property before police made two arrests.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., the truck struck a garden bed inside the roundabout at Cathcart Boulevard and Indian Road North, according to a news release. Several armor stones were dislodged and dragged westbound along Cathcart Boulevard until the truck came to a stop near Colborne Road. The trailer sustained visible damage.
City Works crews were called in to clean up the debris and restore the roundabout.

Investigating officers soon discovered that the trailer and licence plate had been reported stolen in Peel Region on Sept. 6. Ali Muhammad, 27, of Nobleton, Ont., and Khurran Mohammad, 49, of Mississauga, Ont., were arrested.
Both face a criminal charge of possession of property obtained by crime, in addition to multiple traffic and bylaw offences under the Provincial Offences Act. Charges have not been proven in court.
