Brenntag puts SCR truck into service

READING, Penn. — Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) equipment provider Brenntag has naturally chosen to go with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology in its own fleet.

The chemical distributor, which also manufactures DEF dispensing equipment, said it recently received its first truck with SCR, a Freightliner Cascadia with Detroit Diesel DD15 engine.

The truck was put into service making deliveries in Brenntag’s northeast region, the company said.

“The decision to use SCR technology was an easy one” said Denny Eisenhofer, vice-president of operations, Brenntag Northeast. “First of all, Brenntag is a major player in the DEF distribution business both here and in Europe. And in addition to helping the environment, we believe SCR technology will provide significant economic benefits for the company.”
