PORTLAND, Ore. — Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has inked a deal with Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls to be the exclusive North American provider of its retrofit emission control systems.

The licensing deal does not include California. Everywhere else, however, Daimler will provide Cleaire retrofit systems, parts and services for its on-highway customers through selected dealers and distributors, the company has announced.

Cleaire’s retrofit systems are designed to bring pre-2007 trucks and buses up to current emissions standards.

“Cleaire’s retrofit systems have a strong track record of reliability while effectively reducing emissions,” said John O’Leary, senior vice-president,  service and parts for DTNA. “Our partnership with Cleaire will significantly expand the availability of these retrofit devices as new markets develop.”
