KRTS wins community service award

CALEDONIA, Ont. — KRTS Transportation Specialists has won the Mayor’s Community Service Award for its annual Honk for Hunger food drive.

“It is an honour to be recognized by our community for all that the KRTS team and the many volunteers do annually to make the Honk for Hunger a huge success. Over 300,000 people earn their living in the trucking industry and there are so many great causes that the industry play a lead role in,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS, when accepting the award.

Since 2005, the KRTS team and hundreds of volunteers have collected more than 120,000 lbs. of food for the food bank.
