SEATTLE, Wash. — Red Dot Corp., which has 13 Canadian locations, has been approved to distribute Sleeping Well battery-powered auxiliary air-conditioning systems.

Sleeping Well systems are avialable as complete aftermarket installation kits fitting most commercial vehicles, the company says. The all-electric A/C systems can keep a cab cool while the engine is shut off, burning no fuel and producing no emissions with no regular maintenance required, according to the company.

Red Dot will be offering: the wall-mounted, high-capacity Arctic 2000 for sleeper cabs; and the roof-mounted OBLO for straigh trucks and other applications. Both models are made by Indel B of Italy.

The systems are CARB- and EPA SmartWay-approved.

“The Arctic 2000 and OBLO deliver the performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness that truck owners expect from a Red Dot-supported A/C product,” said Red Dot marketing manager, Robert Gardiner. “We’re excited to promote Sleeping Well systems in the North American commercial vehicle aftermarket.”

The company is promoting the systems as an ideal complement to air heaters, providing a complete engine-off aftermarket auxiliary HVAC system.
