Stemco, Ridge Corp. come to terms to end trailer tail lawsuit

by Truck News

LONGVIEW, Texas — Stemco has announced it reached a settlement with Ridge Corporation regarding alleged patent infringements involving ATDynamics’ trailer tail technology.

Stemco now owns ATDynamics. The agreement between the two companies, the terms of which were not disclosed, allows Ridge to resume the manufacture and sale of its GreenTail devices.

Meanwhile Stemco’s manufacture and sale of the ATDynamics TrailerTail will continue uninterrupted.

Both companies asked the courts to dismiss all claims and counterclaims in the litigation and they have entered into a Settlement and Patent License Agreement. Ridge is now licensed to use the Stemco patents under the agreement.

“Both Stemco and Ridge are pleased to put the litigation behind them and focus on providing cost-efficient aerodynamic technology solutions to their customers,” Stemco said in a release.
