CITY OF INDUSTRY, Cal. — Utility Trailer is now offering factory-installed side skirts on its trailers and recently completed its first deal consisting of 300 side skirt-equipped trailers.

Utility offers the side skirts on its 2011 trailers and they can also be retrofit through the company’s aftermarket division. Spirit Truck Lines in the US was the first to place an order of factory-installed side skirts.

“We are proud to be the first to equip our trailers with the new Utility side skirts,” said Raul Garza, president of Spirit Truck Lines.

Utility’s USS-160 side skirts are US EPA SmartWay-verified to save more than 5% in fuel. It also features a bracing system that allows it to flex inward and outward.
