Vancouver Island city takes delivery of Rizon EV
The City of Colwood on Vancouver Island has deployed a Rizon e16M Class 4 all-electric truck.
Upfitted with a dump body, it will be placed into Colwood’s municipal wellness and public works services.

“Colwood’s adoption of a Rizon truck is a great example of how local governments can lead the charge toward zero-emission transportation,” said Andreas Deuschle, global head of Rizon Truck. “We are proud to support municipalities like Colwood as they take real action to build healthier, more sustainable communities through innovative fleet choices.”
Rizon said it also delivered new trucks in Vancouver and Quebec over the past month.
The electric trucks qualify for federal incentives of about $75,000, with another rebate of $75,000 available in B.C.

Municipal wellness? Another stupid virtue signaling action that wastes taxpayers money. Who pays for these grants? Taxpayers. Ever been to Colwood? If they were to plan better and improve the road system to facilitate traffic flow the reduction in emissions would make stunts like this unnecessary. That wouldn’t do though, as then the municipal pols couldn’t get sore arms from patting each other on the back.
I think gov groups are a excellent spot to test if u its are going to operating in a higher density urban setting I support using our taxpayers money on this instead of private cars ans trucks
