TORONTO, (Feb. 1, 2005) — Canada’s biggest and best truck show is back again in 2006.

Owner and producer Truck World Corp. has announced that the biannual three-day national exposition will take place April 20 – 22, 2006 at the International Centre in Toronto.

Truck World Corp. is a subsidiary of NewCom Business Media, the publisher of leading national trucking magazines Today’s Trucking and highwaySTAR, as well as the French language Transport Routier.

Truck World 2004 showcased more than 375 exhibitors from across Canada and the U.S. 16,760 registered guests, including fleet owners, managers and owner-operators flocked to the extravaganza. They came from across Canada and bordering American states to see more than 300,000 square feet of new products, technologies and services and attend seminars and workshops held in conjunction with the show.

“The 2006 show will have a number of new programs that will provide even more value for our exhibitors and visitors,” stated Elizabeth McCullough, Truck World manager.

One of the new programs for next year’s event is the online Gallery of New Products. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to place photographs and descriptions of their new products in this special cyber-gallery, which will be located on the show’s web site. (www.truckworld.ca)

“The trucking industry is an integral part of the Canadian economy,” said Jim Glionna, president of NewCom. “Truck World is a face to face business event that brings industry stakeholders together. The 2006 show will provide sales and marketing opportunities for exhibitors, and critical industry information, education, and entertainment, for our visitors.”

With close to 50 per cent of the exhibit space already pre-booked, Truck World 2006 sales are expected to be brisk. The sales campaign will be launched this spring.

Truck World is sponsored by the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) and the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA).

The Ontario Trucking Association — the third largest association in North America — represents all segments of the industry, including for-hire carriers, private carriers, owner-operators, intermodal and suppliers. The Canadian Trucking Alliance is a federation of the seven Canadian provincial trucking associations representing approximately 4,500 motor carriers and is dedicated to serving their national and international interests.
