TORONTO, Ont. — Canada’s fleet maintenance managers will once again be gathering in May to share industry best practices and new technology.

The Canadian Fleet Maintenance Seminars (CFMS) begin May 26 with the annual golf tournament and run through May 29. As always, the Canadian Fleet Maintenance Manager of the Year will be crowned at this event. And once again, organizers have paired up with the American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) to offer an international flavour.

This year’s seminars will address timely issues such as: trailer wheel-end inspections; environmental programs; electronic stability systems; new safety technology; and fleet security. The popular ‘Shop Talk’ discussions will also be held again this year, moderated by TMC representatives. It’s an interactive session that allows delegates to discuss items such as 07 engine performance, on-board diagnostic requirements for 2010 engines and the impending use of selective catalytic reduction (SCR).

An outside truck display will once again be part of the program and a session on new products will educate maintenance managers about the newest technologies to hit the market. The May 28 banquet will feature a speech by Wes Armour, president and CEO of Armour Transportation. For more information, visit www.cfmsonline.com or call 519-886-6265.
