2011 ExpoCam dates announced

MONTREAL — Next year’s ExpoCam truck show will be held April 7-9 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal.

The show — Quebec’s leading trade event for the transportation industry – is held every two years and is expected to draw 16,000 industry professionals, predominantly from Quebec, to see the latest trucking technology and new products from more than 325 exhibitors.

“We have exhibit commitments from the major manufacturers, including Freightliner, Western Star, Volvo, Navistar, Mack and Hino,” said show manager Joan Wilson. “This pledge of support from the industry’s leaders confirms ExpoCam’s importance to the Canadian trucking and transportation industry.”

ExpoCam is owned and produced by Newcom Business Media Canada’s leading trucking media company, and publisher of Transport Routier, Today’s Trucking, highwaySTAR, Truck & Trailer, Logistics Magazine and todaystrucking.com.

In addition to ExpoCam, the company owns and produces two other industry-related trade shows — Truck World in Toronto, and CamExpo in Quebec City.

ExpoCam 2011 will feature the “Green Route,” which first made its debut at the 2009 event to highlight exhibitors whose products promote fuel efficiency or reduce emissions.

“It provides fleet owners and managers with a one-stop source of information on products they need to operate more efficiently,” said Wilson.

As in shows past, there will also be a series of French-language seminars on all three show days covering subjects that directly impact the Quebec trucking industry.

New for 2011, however, is the New Product Showcase (a dedicated section reserved for new products and services), and an Exhibitor Presentation Theatre where exhibitors can introduce their products to show attendees and take questions from the audience.

The Quebec Trucking Association and the Canadian Trucking Alliance are supporting ExpoCam and actively encouraging their members to attend.

The cost is $10 through advance online registration or $20 at the show.
