407 ETR expands lane capacity
TORONTO — 407 ETR, the private, east-west toll highway north of Toronto, opened more than 18 km of new lanes.
The new lanes run between Highway 404 and Markham Road.
One lane in each direction is officially open.
A second lane was also built to accommodate future growth and can be opened with no need for major construction, says the company.
The new lanes bring the total number of individual lane kilometres on the highway to more than 1,100.
