A reefer runs through it: TransX takes on America

WINNIPEG — One of Canada’s largest privately owned  fleet sis expanding con gusto into the States.

The TransX Group of Companies is bullish on the U.S. recovery and nothing proves it more than the company’s announcement of the launch of www.transXusa.com, the website for TransX USA.

Also, TransX recently appointed a new industry hotshot, Ron Joseph, to head up the American side of things, including its Stateside brokerage business.

(TransX ranked number five on Today’s Trucking’s 2010 Top 100).

"Throughout his career, Ron consistently delivered superior results,” says the President of TransX Group Louie Tolaini.

"Combine that with the launch of www.transxusa.com and we’re ready for the upswing in the economy."

Joseph brings more than 30 years of transportation experience most recently at FedEx Ground as Senior Vice President of Linehaul, Safety & Maintenance.

Tolaini himself sowed the seeds for TransX when he bought a five-truck fleet in 1963. Now, he’s got terminals throughout Canada and the States with revenues in excess of $500 million and about 2,000 employees.
