Alberta inspection officers seek re-accreditation

RED DEER, Alta. — Alberta truckers and fleet managers will have an opportunity to rate provincial inspectors as the province’s Inspection Services seeks re-accreditation this month.

Inspection Services seeks law enforcement accreditation which is a process conducted by a U.S. organization called the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). As part of the process, Albertans are able to provide comment.

This opportunity will come Aug. 31 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. To comment on Inspection Services, call 403-341-8620 at that time. Comments must be limited to 10 minutes and must address accreditation issues.

Written comments may also be submitted. They should be mailed to The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., Suite 100, 10302 Eaton Place, Fairfax, VA, U.S.A., 22030-2201.
