RED DEER, Alta. — Alberta Inspection Services is inviting members of the trucking industry to help it celebrate its 50th year in the truck inspection business.

The department is hosting a regimental dinner and dance at the Delta Inn in Red Deer Sept. 21 and is calling on trucking companies to help the department celebrate this event.

While celebrating its 50-year history, Inspection Services is also planning to establish a scholarship fund to help recruit highly-qualified new inspectors.

Proceeds from the dinner will go towards the scholarship fund and the department is calling on trucking companies to help kick off the initiative by sponsoring the event. Sponsorship options range from $1 to more than $1,000.

The cost of the dinner is $50 per person and tickets may be purchased at any inspection services district office or by calling 403-340-5224.
