EDMONTON, Alta. — The recently re-elected Alberta Tories are breaking up the Transportation and Infrastructure departments and overhauling their Cabinet.

Premier Ed Stelmach said yesterday the province is splitting the departments of Transportation and Infrastructure to ensure more focus is placed on meeting the needs of the province’s roads. Luke Ouellette, current Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, will continue to hold responsibilities as Minister of Transportation.

Jack Hayden will take over as Minister of Infrastructure. The new Cabinet will be sworn in this morning.
