Alberta WCB trucking rates hiked
CALGARY — The Workers Compensation Board of Alberta’s newly released rate schedule for 2010 reveals that the General Trucking sector will pay a whopping 14.2 percent more next year.
The rate will increase from $3.81 this year to $4.35 in 2010.
Garbage hauling premiums will also rise by over 9 percent, from $2.74 to $2.99.
There was some modest good news for specialized trucking, though. That sector’s rate dropped ever so slightly, from $3.61 to $3.59.
