Alcoa names new marketing VP
CLEVELAND, Ohio (Jan. 18, 2005) — Alcoa Wheel Products has named Curtis Samford vice-president of marketing.
In his new role, Samford will develop strategic vision and market direction for the company who invented the forged aluminum wheel for heavy duty trucks in 1948 and today is the global market leader.
He joins Alcoa with over 20 years of global experience in marketing, sales, management and engineering, mostly in automotive and heavy duty trucking markets. Most recently, he was with UniPure Corporation, where he served as Vice President of Commercialization, helping develop new markets and business models to strategically reposition the company.
