Allied Van Lines Creates Moving Industry Scholarships

EDMONTON, AB — Allied Van Lines Canada plans to launch a 2015 scholarship to financially support and provide aid to those in the fields of logistics and similar majors related to careers in the moving services industry.

Interested and qualified students should produce a brief essay detailing why they have chosen a career path in logistics or supply chain management, according to Allied. Entries should be written in a highly personalized style, detailing the student’s decision to enter into the field and what he or she expects as a professional in the industry.

Four students will be selected, each receiving $1,000 scholarship award.

“We embrace the opportunity to invest in our future by supporting those who will one day provide valuable contributions to our exciting industry,” said Phil Murphy, vice president, Allied Van Lines Canada. “It makes great business sense for us to hold students aiming for logistics-related careers in high regard.”

Students interested in entering can do so on the official Allied Van Lines Logistics Scholarship page, as well as learn about eligibility requirements.

The entry deadline is Dec. 1, 2015.
