AMTA conference registrations now open

EDMONTON, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) has released more information about its upcoming management conference in Edmonton this fall.

Business sessions at this year’s conference held Sept. 27-28 at the Mayfield Inn include topics such as insurance and risk management, the AMTA’s proposed reciprocal insurance exchange, employee discipline and termination, balancing the cost of recruitment and retention, fatigue management and Alberta’s quantifiable National Safety Code. The AMTA says other business topics will also be covered at the event.

The golf course being held on Sept. 27 will take place at the renowned Ranch Golf and Country Club, one of the stops on the Canadian professional tour.

Entertainment at the President’s Banquet will be The Great Electrical Revolution by Kim Mitchell.
