EDMONTON, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association completed the final pieces to the puzzle of its board of directors during a special meeting in Edmonton.

Following the AMTA’s annual general meeting in April the position of president-elect remained vacant after no nominations were put forward. By law the association had 60 days to fill the void and on June 22 the nominating committee had reached its conclusion.

Gene Orlick of Orlick’s Transport was put in as the latest president-elect by acclamation. His appointment creates a vacancy for the Calgary regional director, which the association plans to fill later this fall.

Ed Pierce of Capstan Hauling and Dan Duckering of Duckering Transport were also slated into vacant positions on the board of directors, as NW regional director and central regional director respectively.
