CALGARY, Alta. — A promotional film produced by The Alberta Motor Transportation Association last summer to promote the trucking industry, has been nominated for the 2009 Alberta Motion Picture Industry Award in the Best Promotional category.

The promo was shot at Bison Transport’s yard and in its dispatch office and the carrier provided the equipment.

“Without their help we would never have done such a great job,” said William Raccah, AMTA administrator of program development and training.Corkscrew Media and Stir Films were the companies we worked with to produce this ad, and their professionalism and competencies are certainly demonstrated in the results.”

The ad was released on CBC, just prior to the Beijing Olympics and has been on the air during key TV events during last fall and this winter, according to Raccah.

The 35th annual Alberta Film and Television Awards will be handed out in Edmonton May 2.
