AMTA to host emergency response planning seminar

EDMONTON, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is hosting a two-day emergency response planning seminar in Edmonton June 23-24.

The seminar is aimed at helping carriers develop an action plan that can be implemented in case of emergencies, and is being conducted by Emergency Response Management Consulting.

Day one will cover the concepts of developing a system for managing emergencies as well as how to develop an emergency response manual. Day two will feature table-top exercises and an actual demonstration.

Attendees will receive a workbook on emergency response planning as well as a certificate upon completion. For more information, call Donna Kearl at 780-448-7456.
