Ancra receives tiedown testing accreditation
WASHINGTON – AMECA, the (Automotive Manufacturer Equipment Compliance Agency, Inc.) announced the accreditation of Ancra to test synthetic webbing cargo securement devices such as tiedowns) to U.S. DOT FMCSA 49CFR393.104(e)(3) test requirements.
The designation means that Ancra has the equipment, personnel and appropriate qualifications to produce accurate, repeatable and technically valid test data to meet the rigorous requirements.
Only technically proficient, professional laboratories, which maintain an auditable record keeping system with a test equipment calibration program and have demonstrated the ability test to every aspect to the relevant safety standard are granted AMECA accreditation.
AMECA requires every laboratory to establish and utilize a documented calibration program to assure the required degree of accuracy in measurements.
