Annual PMTC conference coming June 19, 20

TORONTO, Ont. — The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada is holding its annual conference in Niagara-on-the-Lake June 19 and 20.

Guest speakers June 19 will include Linda Gauthier, from the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council, George Edwards and Mickey Foutz, speaking on Value Based Fleet Management and Tom Carpenter, director of corporate logistics for Sonoco Products.

Frank Klees, Ontario’s newly-appointed Minister of Transportation will make his first address to the private trucking community at the Meet the Minister breakfast June 20. Also on June 20, Mark Schauerte, senior policy advisor with Transport Canada, will conduct a review and question and answer session on all the current issues affecting trucking including hours of service, inspection standards, border crossing challenges and the work of the National Road Safety Committee.
