DIEPPE, N.B. It’s been more than five months since the departure of former Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) executive director Ralph Boyd, but it appears the association has finally announced a successor.

The APTA has hired Peter Nelson to fulfill the role, who the association says brings extensive experience working in the areas of policy development, government and public relations, public affairs, corporate finance, advocacy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic communications.

Throughout his career, Nelson has also worked with various boards of directors and executive committees. The association says Nelson is looking forward to the challenge of leading the APTA and meeting members over the next few months.

The APTA says a complete bio and introduction for Nelson will be available on its Web site in the coming weeks. Nelson officially takes the helm March 20 and will be available by phone at 506-855-2782 or by email at pnelson@apta.ca.
