Arsenault upgrades software, adds handheld option

Arsenault Associates
Arsenault Associates has released Version 4.0 of its Dossier fleet maintenance software and a new application for handheld computers on a wireless network.

New to Dossier 4.0 is the ability to compare your fleet’s actual parts, labour, and total costs against a projected budget in real time. The software automatically builds your fleet’s benchmark data of maintenance performance time and dollars with each repair order entry, then measures and displays against those benchmarks. The program collects and measures a unit’s out-of-service time and compares it to the company’s normal business operating hours, automatically analyzing downtime.

You can also use templates for any repair or maintenance work so that one mouse click automatically records, costs, and updates all areas of the program at the same time, including parts, labour, cost-per-mile, miles or hours run, repair histories, parts inventory, labour productivity, PM scheduling, meter readings, and vendor control.

Other enhancements include automatic identification of obsolete parts, the ability to attach digital images and documents to files, a new backup system and more.

Arsenault also released Pocket Dossier, a new wireless, voice-activated, bar-code-enabled software option for an off-the-shelf handheld computer. Pocket Dossier allows real-time data lookup, data entry, work-pending, PM status, fuel and meter info, licence and permit status, and parts inventory control.
