ArvinMeritor announces organizational changes

TROY, Mich. — ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems business group announced that Pedro Ferro will assume responsibility for the commercial vehicle exhaust (CVE) product group.

In addition, he will continue to serve as vice-president and general manager of specialty products.

Since joining the company in 2001, Ferro has been solely responsible for the overall strategic management and direction of the company’s bus and coach, specialty vehicle, and government product lines.

Prior to joining ArvinMeritor, Ferro was executive vice-president of sales, marketing and distribution with Motor Coach Industries. He has also held positions with Cummins Inc.

At the same time, ArvinMeritor also announced that Rick Weisbart has been named vice-president of business development for CVS.

Prior to this position, Weisbart was vice-president and general manager for the exhaust product line of ArvinMeritor’s CVS business group. He joined the company in 2001 as director, operations, for the light vehicle systems group. Before that, he was with Amerigon, Inc.,- initially as president and COO, and later as CEO.
