ArvinMeritor announces personnel changes

TROY, Mich. — Carsten Reinhardt, former president and CEO of Detroit Diesel, has been named senior vice-president and president of ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems.<br>

He replaces Tom Gosnell, who is retiring after 27 years with ArvinMeritor. The change will take effect Sept. 1, 2006. Reinhardt will be responsible for the overall strategic management of the companys global commercial vehicle components and customer-focused services for OE production and the aftermarket, the company announced.<br>

“Carsten’s track record for focusing on operational excellence, improving financial performance and executing growth initiatives will be a tremendous asset to maintaining and enhancing an already strong organization,” said ArvinMeritor chairman, Chip McClure. “We remain steadfast in our determination to continue controlling costs and to provide outstanding customer service, and we are confident Carsten has the skills and business acumen to drive continued growth in this segment.”<br>
<br>
Meanwhile, ArvinMeritor named H.H. Buddy Wacaser as senior vice-president and president of its newly-formed Emissions Technology Group. The new group will be responsible for developing new emissions technologies and products. <br>
