ArvinMeritor names aftermarket boss

TROY, Mich. — ArvinMeritor Inc. Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket (CVA) business named Doug Wolma to the position general manager of its remanufacturing business.

According to Joe Mejaly, vice-president and general manager of CVA, “Doug’s background in strategy, operations and remanufacturing will bring an experienced perspective to our growing business. His appointment coincides with our continuing emphasis on the remanufacture of key braking and drivetrain components and a strict adherence to rigid remanufacturing standards.”

Prior to joining ArvinMeritor, Wolma held executive positions for 14 years at Detroit-based Axle Alliance Corp. (AAC) and Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing Corp.

CVA’s remanufacturing takes place at the company’s 275,000-square-foot Plainfield, Ind. In late 2006, the business reached two major remanufacturing milestones with the 10 millionth brake shoe and 50,000th axle differential carrier.
