ASE announces spring testing for heavy-duty technicians

LEESBURG, Va. — The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has announced the dates of its spring round of ASE certification testing for automotive and heavy-duty technicians.

Technicians seeking ASE certification must register for the spring tests by March 28. The test dates are May 6, 8 and 13, at 7 p.m. The tests are being held at over 700 locations across the U.S. and Canada.

There will be certification testing for automotive technicians, engine machinists, school bus technicians and medium/heavy truck technicians as well as a Truck Equipment Installation and Repair Specialist Test and a Medium/Heavy Vehicle Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis Specialist Test.

Testing registration information is available by writing to ASE, by calling the ASE toll-free information line at 1 877 ASE-TECH (273-8324) and pressing option 7, by calling ASE Customer Service at 701 669-6600, or on the ASE web site at www.ase.com.

Fleet technicians and technicians at independent heavy-duty shops can register now online at www.ase.com or by mail. The address for mail registration is ASE, 101 Blue Seal Drive SE, Ste. 101, Leesburg, VA USA 20175.

Toll-free phone registration will be available starting March 3. The toll-free number is 1 877 564-8661.

ASE Catalogs of Tests, which have sample questions, test specifications, task lists and references to study materials, are available free of charge on the ASE web site.
