Autocar expanding cab interior

HAGERSTON, Ind. — The Autcar Xpeditor cab will soon be bigger inside thanks to changes being made to interior components on trucks manufactured as of Sept. 2.

The redesign gained three inches of belly room and four and a half inches of knee and leg room, thanks to a specially designed 16-inch steering wheel and relocating the seats and seat belts rearwards, company literature says.

Foot pedal positions on the dual steer right-hand sit-down cab configuration, spreading the pedals to a more comfortable nine and a half inch on-center position were also made to improve ease of operation for drivers.
The design changes were unveiled at the Waste Expo in New Orleans in early June.
