The new AutoJust clutch from Meritor Clutch Co., available in torque capacitites up to 2050 pound feet, can do away with the 13 or so adjustments that typically take place with a clutch that lasts 400,000 miles. The saving in maintenance costs and downtime is substatial. The self-adjusting clutch is engineered with “LitePedal” technology to reduce pedal effort, as well as the Meritor Long Travel Damper disc to minimize torsional virbations. An optional release bearing extends greasing intervals to 100,000 miles.
