SURREY, B.C. — Pacific Coast Heavy Truck Group in Surrey, B.C., was recently named Canadian Dealer of the Year by Volvo Trucks North America for the dealership’s overall accomplishment and performance.

Chicago Truck Sales and Service, of Alsip, Ill., was named US Dealer of the Year, while the truckmaker also recognized other dealers for their performance in truck, parts and Volvo engine sales.

These dealers were selected based on a number of factors, including new truck sales, parts sales, financial performance and customer satisfaction scores.

The dealer’s performance under the Symbols of Excellence program also was a factor in Dealer of the Year selection. Symbols of Excellence evaluates dealers in all areas of operations: facilities, marketing and management, truck sales, parts and service, leasing, and best dealership practices.

“Volvo and its dealers are dedicated to providing world-class customer service,” said Peter Karlsten, president and CEO. “Our dealers also understand that delivering world-class service and following through on our 10 Point Service Commitment to customers will have great benefits for their businesses.”

In addition, Volvo also named Regional Parts Dealers of the Year for each of its four US sales regions and Canada, based on parts sales, customer service and training. In Canada the award went to Nortux based in Edmonton. The US winners are: Bruckner Truck Sales in Amarillo, Tex., Chicago Truck Sales and Service in Alsip, Ill., Gabrielli Truck Sales of Connecticut in Hartford, Conn., and Worldwide Equipment in Chattanooga, Tenn.
