EDMONTON, Alta. — ‘Health and Safety A Balancing Act’ is the new theme for 2006 as the final touches of the fifth annual Alberta Health and Safety Conference and Trade Fair are put into place.

The conference is slated to run at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton from Nov. 20 to 22. The early bird deadline for conference registration is Oct. 6.

The conference will be hosted by the Health and Safety Conference Society of Alberta (HSCSA). The not-for-profit association, consisting of health and safety associations, employer associations, professional societies, and other strategic partners puts on the annual conference to promote the importance of health and safety and provide a source of health and safety education to the conference attendees.

The three-day conference will feature 35 keynote and technical sessions, as well as keynote panel discussions. Professional development courses will also be offered pre- and post-conference.

More than 100 trade fair exhibitors will be showcasing health, safety and environmental supplies and services.
