VANCOUVER, B.C. — Alternative fuel cell maker, Ballard Power Systems, has announced Dennis Campbell will take over as the company’s president and chief operating officer.

Campbell draws on experience in the manufacturing business ranging from the automotive industry to the specialty compressors industry. He is making the move from Home Care Industries, a company that produces filter systems.

“We are pleased to welcome Dennis Campbell to the Ballard team as president and chief operating officer,” says Firoz Rasul, Ballard’s chairman and chief executive officer. “As Ballard is evolving to become a commercial manufacturer of fuel cell products it is undergoing dramatic change.”

He says he feels Campbell is the ideal candidate to steer the company through those changes over the coming years.

Campbell takes over the post on July 22.
