WAUPACA, Wis. — Truck executives and commercial tire dealers combined a day of fun and fundraising to generate $5,180 for Trucker Buddy International.

Half of the total amount was raised during a golf outing at the Bandag Fleet Executive Symposium in Phoenix, Ariz. In addition to the $2,500 raised during the event, Bandag also donated $100 in the name of the fleet executive whose shot was closest to the pin on the fifth hole.

A second golf outing at another Bandag conference in Phoenix helped raise $1,340 through mulligan ticket sales to the tournament participants. Bandag matched the contribution for a total of $2,680.

Trucker Buddy International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping educate and mentor school children via a pen pal relationship between professional truck drivers and children in grades 2-8.

This is the third consecutive year that Bandag has made contributions to Trucker Buddy via the golf outings.
