VANCOUVER, B.C. — Due to a "technical error," BC Ferries charged a 90 cent per foot surcharge on all overheight commercial vehicles sailing from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo/Departure Bay on December 22, reports the British Columbia Trucking Association.

The association contacted BC Ferries after being informed by members using that route and reports that BC Ferries apologized for the technical error and agreed to refund all persons who were erroneously charged the surcharge.
