VANCOUVER, B.C. — BC Rail has appointed Forum Capital Partners as its financial advisor for the sale of Finlay Navigation so to seek a private operator for its inland marine transportation business.

According to Bob Phillips, BC Rail President and CEO, the company has decided that Finlay Navigation is not a core operation and does not fit into the company’s long-term plans for restoring its financial health.

Finlay Navigation provides a critical service to the northern forestry operations and given its current service and growth potential, BC Rail expects many qualified companies will express interest in acquiring Finlay.
