BCTA outlines weekend for summer conference

LANGLEY, B.C. — The British Columbia Trucking Association has set aside the first weekend in June to host its 93rd Annual General Meeting and Management Conference. The conference will be held at the Delta Victoria Pointe Resort and Spa from June 2 to June 4 and feature social gatherings, golf, elections and featured speakers.

B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell has been invited to address attendees at the AGM. As well industry consultant Dan Baker will head a session on improving corporate culture, while The Western Standard publisher, Ezra Levant will discuss how the politics of a new government will effect trucking in Western Canada.

The BCTA will also be honouring key contributors to the industry during the banquet with the Driver of the Year Award and the BCTA Service to Industry Award.
