WINNIPEG, Man. — Beaver Truck Centre has been named the 2011 Volvo Trucks Canadian Dealer of the Year.

The announcement was made at last week’s American Truck Dealers Conference in Las Vegas, Nev.

“Barry Searcy and the Beaver Truck Centre team know the transport industry and are committed to providing customers with top-notch service,” said Brent Weary, vice-president of marketing and sales with Volvo Trucks Canada. “Barry is a visionary, who back in 1996, took a broken down property and transformed it into a state-of-the-art facility which has been designated a world class Volvo dealer.”

Beaver Truck Centre offers a 19,000 sq.-ft. parts warehouse, 22-bay service department and employs more than 80 staff members.
