ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) will be monitoring two demo chassis equipped with best-in-class components over the next five years.

Bendix Commercial Vehicle System’s anti-lock braking system has been specified as a key component on the demo chassis.

IANA wants to evaluate next-generation technologies from suppliers and have chosen the components based on innovation, safety and return-on-investment.

Bendix ABS is designed to improve driver control during braking by reducing wheel lock-up and trailer swing-out on all road surfaces. Bendix trailer ABS integrates with existing air brake systems and includes three basic components, a controller/modulator, wheel speed sensors and wiring harnesses.
