McAleese was promoted to president in March, 2002, and now he will assume the CEO position previously held by Robert S. Oswald. Oswald will continue to serve as chairman at Bendix and as a valuable resource for McAleese and the rest of the Bendix team.

Prior to his promotion to president, McAleese was vice-president and general manager, a position he was appointed to in May, 2001. He has spent his 20-year career with AlliedSignal, Honeywell and now Knorr-Bremse.

Throughout this time, he has held a number of leadership positions, including vice president-finance, vice president-OE enterprise, vice-president-Six Sigma, vice-president e-business and vice-president-operations.
