ELYRIA, Ohio — Bendix has announced the promotion of Bob Johnson to vice-president of aftermarket sales and marketing.

In his new role, Bendix states that Johnson will develop and lead the Bendix aftermarket sales and marketing effort, with a focus on customer relations, leading partnerships throughout the distribution channel, and promoting new and existing business opportunities.

“Bob is an accomplished and experienced professional, focused on achieving long-term, bottom-line results,” said Joe McAleese, president and chief executive officer of Bendix. “In partnership with our aftermarket regional sales directors and integrated marketing support team, Bob will help drive continuous growth plans for our customers and our business. He brings a clear understanding of the evolving commercial vehicle aftermarket that will help us continue to deliver effective, value-added solutions into the future.”

Johnson began his career with Bendix in 1989. For the past 20 years, he has progressed through a variety of marketing and sales positions in Elyria and the commercial vehicle aftermarket, including an appointment as aftermarket sales regional director for the Southern region in 2007.

Most recently, Johnson was named director, marketing and communications, a role in which he was responsible for generating and coordinating programs and promotions, managing the launch of new aftermarket products, and identifying new business opportunities within the North American aftermarket segment.
